ARS Projects and LCM Fundraising!

The work with the ARS projects are moving along nicely and we have pictures to prove it!  The work on the water well is completed and we have running water and the faucets for the neighborhood use are working well!  How exciting!  People don't have to walk 1.5-2 miles for fresh water!  The tile work has begun in the bathrooms so they should be finished soon!  We are currently raising funds for the Mission House which will have a common downstairs and 2 bedrooms with bathrooms upstairs.

I have been working hard with contacting people about supporting the work financially with LCM.  It has been fun talking with so many people about what God has before us.  Please continue to pray as we press on to 100% funded.  We are needing to raise $6,000/month. This is God's project and I am trusting for His provision.  If you know of someone who might be interested in hearing about the work of LCM, please contact me!

As we go forward finishing the month of March and going into April - let us look for every opportunity to share the love of Jesus to everyone we meet.  Ministry opportunities are everywhere!

Exciting Stuff!

The first two months of 2015 have been full of many blessings!

The work with the ARS projects have been moving right along.
Project 1 - drilling of the water well is $100 funded the work is getting close to being completed!
Project 2 - construction of the bathrooms at the church is also $100 funded and getting close to being completed!
Project 3 - We received the proposed floor plans for the Mission House - (common downstairs with 2 bedrooms with full baths upstairs).  We just completed a Pancake Fundraiser this last weekend and raised just over $1000.  We now have raised $2,942 of the needed $18,500 for the project.  You can take a look at the floor plans on the ARS tab on this blog.

I am working hard on the task of raising support so I can go full time with LC Ministries.  It has been a joy to connect and reconnect with people and share with them the vision of LCM.  I know that this direction is HIS direction for my life.  I am so grateful for those who are joining our team through financial resources and those on our prayer team.  I am excited about the days ahead.

I am currently helping facilitate the Perspectives Class on Monday nights as well as assist with a local Bible study group leading a small group.  My work with ARS continues as well with different presentations and fundraising efforts.  But my main priority is to raise support so I can go full time.   Please continue to pray that I will be able to make the right contacts with individuals and families who would like to join us in this ministry.

I have been reading in 2 Chronicles 20....it is one of my favorites.  These are just some points that stood out to me and I can certainly apply to my life right now.
  • vs 2 ... a vast army is coming....  Sometimes the pressures of life feel like this huge army that is coming against you.  Panic wants to rise up inside.
  • vs 5 ... Jehoshaphat stood up, and called out to God, heartfelt and honest.... That is what we all need to do when we feel that panic rise - call out to the God who loves you and He knows what is going on in your life
  • vs 15 ... God spoke - Don't be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army.  For the battle is not yours, but God's
Be encouraged today!  I know His Word has encouraged me!

Work with ARS Projects Moving Along!

We are very excited about the Projects with ARS.  Project 1 - FULLY FUNDED and the drilling of the water well has begun!  Project 2 - FULLY FUNDED and the work on the bathrooms is in progress.  We received pictures and you can see some of them on the ARS page here on the blog.  To say that Pr Jose, Leoni and I are excited is a understatement!  We are excited to see the work started and we are excited that the church in Manacapuru is working hard and continuing with ministry!  Just recently we received some pictures that showed about 60 children participating in VBS.  Now how they do that without bathrooms........wow!

ARS is busy now with getting ready for future fundraising efforts to continue the work with Project 3 which is the construction of two Missionary Apartments.  They are working on the floor plans and details now and we should soon have a final figure.  We are guessing now that it could be               US $15,000.  These apartments will be used for current missionaries working with the youth and children as well as housing for future groups that may work with the church.  It is all very exciting!

A very familiar passage has been on my heart today....Prov 3:5-6 especially in the Amplified Bible.
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

Right now, I am working hard on raising the needed financial resources to hit the FULLY FUNDED goal of $6,000/month by the end of March.  This passage is critical for me .... I must:
  • Lean on Him
  • Trust in Him
  • be Confident in Him
  • I must do all these 3 things with all my heart and mind
  • I cannot rely or lean on my own insight or understanding
  • HE is in control and HE will direct my steps in all ways
  • HE is my source
  • HE is Lord of my life
I am so thrilled about this process and with what the Lord is doing in and through me these days.
Pray for me as I walk this baby out and let me know how I can pray for you!  Check out our website at www.lcministriesonline.com and keep in touch!

God Bless

Perspectives Class Stillwater

During the 2015 Spring semester, I have the privilege of helping with the Perspectives Class.  Ron Duggins is the Coordinator for the Stillwater class and a group of us are joining in to serve the students of the class.  My job is the class facilitator, that means I help things to run on time.

I had the opportunity to take the Perspectives Class several  years ago and I loved it.  It was challenging, encouraging and the Lord used it greatly in my life.  If you have time check it out at perspectives.org.

The first class helped to lay the ground work for the semester.  I shared with the class some of the intro material which included the following:

So what IS Perspectives on the World Christian Movement?
  • PERSPECTIVES
    • to find a God-centered, nations-focused perspective on the Bible, history, church and life
    • it is here to radically re-arrange your worldview!  So that you may become 'ruined for the ordinary'!
  • WORLD CHRISTIAN
    • This class is NOT a missions course for some, but rather a discipleship course for everyone
    • This class is NOT about moving to a country far away, but rather it is about moving closer to God and His heart for the nations
    • This class is NOT here to make you a missionary, but rather it is here to help you find your role in God's great plan
  • MOVEMENT
    • You are not taking a course, you are joining a movement
I am ready for God to continue to do a great work in my heart!

Great Passage to think about....

I hope your New Year has gotten off to a good start, mine has been good and busy.  I am working hard in sharing about LC Ministries and how people can join our team.  But today I wanted to share a great passage that I have been chewing on lately....  This passage has helped me to get my eyes UP, looking ON His goodness and His awesomeness and not to look constantly at life's circumstances.  Those life circumstances can many times be difficult and sometimes downright discouraging.

God is much bigger than any situation we face.  I am choosing to focus on His greatness and strength and trust in His provision and grace.  Take some time to meditate on this wonderful passage.  Share your thought and insights with me.  Have a great week......

1 Chron 29:10-13 (NIV)
Praise be to you , Lord, the God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.  Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.  Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things.  In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.  Now , our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

1 Chron 29:10 (AMP)
Be praised, adored, and thanked, O Lord, the God of Israel our forefather, forever and ever.  Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and the earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and Yours it is to be exalted as head over all.  Both riches and honor come from you, and You reign over all.  In Your hands are power and might; in your hands it is to make great and to give strength to all.  now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise your glorious name and those attributes which that name denotes.

2015 Here we come!!!

I am thrilled about 2015!  I am excited about this new chapter of my life.  The call before me is to move forward towards working with LCM full time.  This requires me to raise support for both my personal needs and for the needs of LCM.  So, I will be working full time January, February and March in raising support.  I will also continue my work with ARS, even though I will have to scale it back a bit to work on raising support.  I have been getting ready in the month of December and it is launch time!
I do believe that NOW is the time for me to work full time in LCM.  The work with ARS is moving forward and gaining speed.  Check out the tab about ARS - we reached our goal of securing funds for our Project 1 which is drilling a water well.  The church there in Manacapuru is already moving forward on the bathrooms so we are moving forward.  I know that a lot of my time in ministry will be working along side of ARS.  It is a joy to my heart to serve Pr Jose and Leoni to see these projects completed and see what else the Lord has in store for us!
I do believe that NEW opportunities will be coming open for LCM in the area of preaching and teaching.  I have an invitation to go to Denmark to teach in a Bible School and I am excited about that possibility.  As I have been asking the Lord for clarity in direction, He has made it clear to me that I am go look forward and work with what is before me right now and trust Him for the details concerning the future.  So that means to me, to continue to work with ARS, be open to opportunities as they present themselves, but RIGHT NOW my focus is to become fully funded by the end of March.  My financial goal to raise is $6000/month.
If you would like more information on how you can be involved with LCM, please drop me a line and I will contact you asap!
Whoo Whoo, 2015 here we come!
